Ready to quit? More than 70% smokers say they want to quit, but only about 5% succeed without help. Quitting tobacco use can be tough, but you increase your chances of success when you get help. Phone-based counseling is convenient, private, and very effective. Pick up the phone and CALL! All PEHP subscribers receive these FREE services:

  • A personal plan for quitting, developed by you and your qualified Quit Coach.
  • A Quit Guide to walk you through the quitting process step by step.
  • NRT if eligible and appropriate.
NRT stands for nicotine replacement therapy available as gum, patches, nasal spray, and inhalers. NRT has been shown to be safe and effective in helping people stop using cigarettes when used as part of a comprehensive smoking cessation program.

Tobacco Cessation Rebate

Healthy Utah offers a $100 rebate to tobacco users who quit for six months and calls the Utah Tobacco Quitline, 1.800.QUIT.NOW (7848.669). Participant must receive or initiate at least 5 phone conversations with a quit coach.

Once you have been quit for six months and called the Quitline 5 times, follow these simple steps to receive your $100:

    1. Take the rebate form to your Primary Care Physician (PCP). It must be filled out and signed by your physician.
    2. Check all boxes:
      • 5 phone calls to/from Utah Tobacco Quitline
      • Tobacco free for six months
    3. Mail or fax rebate form to Healthy Utah.
