Bryan's Story

I did it! I reached my goal of losing 25 pounds and Healthy Utah paid me $114 dollars for my efforts. For the past three years my Healthy Utah results were showing a pattern where I was becoming less healthy and was listed “at risk” for body my fat percent and at “high risk” for cholesterol. So I decided to make a change and take action.

It all started back in June when traveling to St. George, my wife made a comment to me about how I drink too much “empty calories” with my lemon aid beverages. I then started browsing around on the Healthy Utah Web-Site and came across the link to Calorie King www.calorieking.com I decided to count all the calories in every thing I ate and try to stay within a 2000 calorie diet, I also created a regular training routine at the gym. My exercise routine consisted of an indoor cycling/spin class twice a week and weight lifting once a week. I also bought a body fat/Composition scale (knowing if I spent money on something I would take it more seriously) and started measuring myself almost every week. Four months later I reached my goal, I had lowered my body fat by 10 points and lost 25 pounds. I feel better about my future and I am actually excited for my next Healthy Utah Session appointment. I had to buy some new pants and a belt because everything I owned was too big. Now I plan to stay active and maintain my current condition.
I continue to weigh myself every week and chart out the results, this keeps me focused on my eating and exercise habits.
