When it comes to eating right and exercising, there is no I'll start tomorrow. Tomorrow is disease.

44 Medical Triangle

The Wellness Council at 44 Med had a very busy year in 2005. The year began with a building wide survey to see what could be done to improve the health of the employees. With that data, the following programs were initiated:

Yoga Classes and Pilates classes that are are rotated every 6 weeks to give everyone a chance to try one or both.  One class is held at lunchtime and one is held immediately after work.  Attendance has been maintained at 10-12 people per session.

Bulletin boards have been placed strategically around the building in six different locations.  Some of the topics that have been covered are:  Exercise basics, Debt reduction, Healthy eating, Humor and Emergency preparedness.

Quarterly potlucks. The first potluck was a Nacho Fest in December. Next will be a St. Patrick's Day potluck in March.

Brown bag classes have been held on Osteoporosis Management, Stress Management, Energy Producing Techniques, Live your Own Sit-Com, Power Foods and Nutrition on the Run.
