Central Utah Water Provo Canyon Bike/Hike Activity
As part of its "Change Your Altitude" theme, employees at Central Utah Water Conservancy District tackle a hike every quarter to encourage employees and dependents to get up, get out and get moving. In addition, hikes are centered around a current District water feature in an effort to education employees about the District and what we do.
Last month, over 20 employees and dependents participated in a Provo River Trail Bike/Hike activity. Hikers walked three miles from Canyon Glen to Vivian park while bikers covered approximately 15 miles. Both hikers and bikers toured inside some of the District's pipelines while receiving a brief presentation about the history of the Provo River, the canyon as well as some of the District's water features.

Both groups ended up at Vivian Park for some light refreshments, a pictorial discussion about the Provo River presented by Daryl Devey, O&M Area Manager-Bonneville Unit, and a prize drawing which included sun screen, DVDs, and other great prizes.
